My name is Barbara Blaney, and I have been running my Beauty Salon successfully from home for over 18 years and qualified over 12 years in A.C.P. I love working from home, and my children have always been very supportive of my career. The Salon is just a normal part of our everyday life now. I was with a great bunch of girls, who made going back to college at 38, a real pleasure.
I had been in the London Fire Brigade Control for over 20 years, so it was a complete career change for me. I won the Iris Ball Rose Bowl Award for Professionalism in the 1st and 2nd year, and in the 2nd year won the Sterex Award for Continuous Progress in Electrolysis. I started doing treatments on my friends and family in my son's bedroom, before the salon was ready.
