Chives first began as a restaurant in 1988 & developed into an outside catering company in 1998. Graham Green joined us as head chef & co-owner in 2008 from his award winning Green Herring restaurant in Australia. Our passion is to always offer interesting and creative food accompanied by service that always goes the extra mile to make sure your event or wedding is perfect and equally importantly stress free.

Our passion, which still is the core of our philosophy today, was to offer 'Interesting creative food with quality service at affordable prices'. Over the 6 years we operated in Westgate we developed a strong reputation, accolades and following, despite a severe recession, for the quality of our food, service and overall ambience for our restaurant.

Whether you are getting married at one of our accredited venues or holding the wedding at home or elsewhere, we will work with you to ensure your day is all you wished for and more. At the initial consultation we will discuss the plan of the day, ensuring that we incorporate your ideas and thoughts.
Event Catering

We know from experience that organising corporate events can be a difficult task with many areas to consider, so we can take away the strain of ensuring that the catering aspect is all taken care off.
Past events include two cross channel ferry & catamaran launches, catering for over 300 invited French & English guests plus press on board over 4 crossings, the Dean of Canterbury Cathedral's Garden party for over 950 guests, and many other small to large events for our regular clients.

Venues

Crown Lodge is based in the heart of the North Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Knowlton Court really is a visual feast, & can sleep over 70 guests on the estate, it has a beautiful wedding gazebo and a permanent marquee in the grounds each summer, but you can also hold the entire wedding in the house itself.
