Inspired by the quality of undiscovered golf courses in Europe and the dearth of well-presented information about them; James O'Sullivan formed Golf Par Excellence in 1995. The idea was to provide Golf Club Members with a complete golf travel service, delivered to the same high standards they would expect in their own Clubs.

Portugal, the Southwestern outpost of Europe (next stop North Africa), enjoys a very temperate climate all year round: no wonder it's so popular for golf holidays! You may possibly encounter a few rainy hours in December and January but even so the temperature rarely drops below the high teens (while thermometers at home are in the red numbers).
