At Morningside Chiropractic, our back pain and sciatica treatment focuses on identifying the root cause of your discomfort and providing targeted, evidence-based care to relieve pain and restore proper movement. Using a combination of chiropractic adjustments, soft-tissue techniques, tailored rehabilitation exercises and expert lifestyle guidance, we help reduce inflammation, ease nerve irritation and improve spinal function. Whether your symptoms stem from injury, posture, disc issues or everyday strain, our team works with you to achieve lasting relief, better mobility and long-term spinal health.
Our chiropractic care for headaches and migraines is centred on finding and treating the underlying causes of your symptoms, not just easing them in the moment. Many headaches stem from tension, poor posture, joint dysfunction or irritation of the nerves in the neck all areas chiropractors are trained to assess and treat. Through gentle, targeted adjustments, soft-tissue work and personalised lifestyle guidance, we help reduce muscle tension, restore proper neck and spinal movement, and calm irritated nerves. Our goal is to lessen the frequency and intensity of your headaches or migraines, improve your comfort day-to-day, and support long-term relief so you can get back to living life with clarity and ease.
For neck pain relief in Edinburgh visit Morningside Chiropractic, neck pain and trapped nerve specialists. Your neck (cervical spine) supports both the weight and movement of your head, quite a job since an adults' head can weigh between 4 and 6 kg, and it contains the vast majority of nerves that connect your brain to the rest of your body.
Our pregnancy back and pelvic pain services are designed to support you through the physical changes of pregnancy with safe, gentle and effective care. Our two specialist chiropractors, Vicky and Katie, have extensive training in pregnancy-related chiropractic treatment and regularly help patients experiencing pelvic girdle pain (PGP), symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD), lower back pain and pelvic discomfort. They focus on restoring balance and movement in the pelvis and spine, easing tension, and reducing irritation around sensitive joints and ligaments. With tailored treatment plans and practical guidance to support your daily comfort, our goal is to help you move more freely, feel more confident in your body, and enjoy a more comfortable pregnancy.
Rosies pregnancy massage service is designed to help you feel more comfortable, relaxed and supported throughout every stage of pregnancy. Her treatments focus on easing common aches such as back, hip and pelvic tension, improving circulation, and reducing stress so your body can adapt more easily as your baby grows. With specialist training in pregnancy massage and a gentle, attentive approach, Rosie creates a safe and soothing experience tailored to your needs, helping you move more comfortably and enjoy greater wellbeing during this special time
R paediatric chiropractic services are led by Katie, whose advanced training in this area makes her uniquely equipped to support infants, children and teenagers. Alongside her five-year Masters degree in Chiropractic, Katie has completed extensive postgraduate studies in paediatric and pregnancy care, functional muscle testing and lifestyle-based health. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Functional Neurology, with additional specialised training focused on childhood developmental delays. This combination of expertise allows her to assess the nervous system, movement patterns and musculoskeletal function with exceptional depth. Katie provides gentle, age-appropriate care tailored to each childs needs. Her focus is always on safe, effective treatment that supports healthy growth, comfort and long-term wellbeing.
Our chiropractic treatment for repetitive strain injuries focuses on relieving pain, restoring proper movement and addressing the underlying causes of ongoing irritation. Whether youre dealing with tennis elbow, ITB tightness, rotator cuff strains, wrist and forearm pain, or other overuse issues, our chiropractors assess how your joints, muscles and movement patterns are contributing to the problem. Treatment typically includes targeted adjustments, soft-tissue therapy, functional rehabilitation exercises and personalised advice to reduce strain and prevent flare-ups. Our goal is to help you recover fully, move more efficiently and get back to work, sport or daily activities without recurring pain.

I just realised that my review I thought I posted 6 months ago was up but I dont see it so here is another one!
I cant stress enough how much my experience here changed the year I was having. After a year of chronic back pain which was ruining my life, within one session that was turned around. After four I was in a physical state that I didnt know I could feel after so long in pain.
Understanding, knowledge and caring I would highly recommend.

I have been visiting the chiropractor due to migraines caused from muscle tightness in my neck and shoulders, and I decided to also try a deep massage from Rosie to compliment my regular sessions at the chiropractor. I have seen Rosie twice now, and she has been fantastic. She is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She targets the problem areas, and after 45 mins, I leave feeling so much better. The massage, along with my chiropractor sessions, is really helping to relieve all the muscle tightness I have been experiencing for years, and my migraines have definitely reduced. Even after my chiropractor sessions stop, I'll look to continue with regular deep massages from Rosie.

Had problems with my hip/lower back for years. My daughter told me to try Alan Cavanagh at Morningside Chiropractic. He assessed me and started treatment. After a good few treatments I noticed a remarkable recovery. Now I would say I'm probably 80% better than when I first went there. Would Definitely recommend Alan as he was so professional and kept me believing I would get better.

I cannot thank Tony at Morningside Chiropractic enough. I have had 9 months of pain in my right leg and knee, weakness which has caused falls and had lost my confidence walking. Doctors have been unable to identify the cause. After the first appointment with Tony I felt much better and the leg pain began to go. He was very thorough and able to use his expertise to talk me through what could be causing the pain and work on parts of the body to help ease the pain. After the second appointment I gained confidence walking and actually ran a few steps. Tony is friendly and professional and I thoroughly recommend him as an excellent chiropractor.

My 20 yr old son hurt his back during MMA training. This chiropractor was recommended to him as he couldn't get an appointment with a doctor and wanted to continue training.
3 appointments later and the issue is resolved. Very reasonably priced for such a good service.

Vicky was recommended to me by a friend. I had never seen a chiropractor prior to going to Morningside Chiropractic. I was at the point of having reoccurring mild lower back pain and wanting to end this cycle. Vicky was great. She quickly helped to sort out the cause of my pain, prescribed some routine exercises, and helped the afflicted area through adjustment, massage, and dry needling. I will not hesitate to go back as issues arise.

I saw Vicky for a lower back issue and couldnt recommend her more highly. She is very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable whilst in your appointment.

I had been suffering from lower back pain and had issues with alignment when in the gym doing squats and deadlifts. From the first session she was able to identify the issue and with her knowledge she was able to explain what the issue was so I understood. After 6 sessions I seen a huge improvement in form in the gym and was no longer suffering from pain in my back.

The reception staff at the clinic are also very welcoming and helpful when booking appointments.

I took my 3 month old to see Katie as he was having trouble with limited neck movement, poor latch and reflux. After only 3 brief sessions, his latch had improved remarkably; his reflux was reduced and; his head was able to have a full range of motion. My son was finally able to tolerate tummy time, which was previously a struggle. He was also a lot more comfortable in his car seat than before. Katie was wonderful and gentle with him and explained everything she was doing. I am so grateful for the help and relief she brought to my son and I would highly recommend her.

It's hard to know where to start. Around 2 years ago I started to have pain in the sides of my legs which made it quite hard to walk. I attended a couple of different clinics e.g. physiotherapy, sports therapy, and while I had some relief it was never long-lasting.
I first visited the clinic in February 2021, just two months into the second lockdown. I was in a lot of pain particularly while lying down which made sleep difficult. Alan made it clear that this would not be a quick fix and that I would need to put the work in to feel better.
I had an appointment each week for around six weeks and
