Excellent quality homemade food...comfy surrounding nice staff...dog friendly...never fails..one had Xmas turkey dinner all trimmings..one had a steak and trimming while I had mac cheese chip n salad. Followed by a tablet cheesecake to die for...

Passing through Moffat and decided to go into The Star. We had the best gammon steak, and Rob Roy chicken. First time in, but will definitely not be the last

We went here tonight when it was rammed. They managed to squeeze us in and we had a lovely meal. Large portions and great prices. Very friendly staff. Veggie choices which isnt always the case up here.

Excellent little hotel, serving great food, really good gluten free options. As well as standard menu. The G/f steak pie is to die for. Really nice friendly helpful staff, highly reccomended. Would definitely eat here again.
