You do not need to provide proof of ID, address, immigration status or an NHS number in order to receive care or see a GP. Al Shafa Medical Centre is a member of My Healthcare and can offer evening and weekend face to face GP, Nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments from Burbury, Fernley, Harborne, River Brook and West Heath Hubs.
The extended hours appointments will be booked by our reception staff as usual but patients will be seen at whichever Hub is the most convenience for them. We are also able to offer our patients telephone consultations with either a GP or pharmacist based in MyHealthcare's Virtual Hub at West Heath Medical Centre.

Our practice manager has overall responsibility for running the day-to-day management of the practice, services and staff. Deals with scanning/attaching of hospital correspondence and results, and is responsible for incoming/outgoing medical records to Birmingham Health Authority. Haleema is also the community cardiology secretary.
Surgery Times

Along with our usual opening hours, we offer our patients extended access appointments at evenings and weekends. These are available at our local SDS MyHealthcare Hubs, To book an extended access appointment, please speak to one of our receptionists. Reception staff are available in between the surgery hours in person and by telephone from 9.00am to 12 noon to take prescription orders, book appointments and take messages.
