Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) affects up to 1 in 5 pregnant women. PGP can be felt in 1 or more of the 3 pelvic joints, the pubic joint at the front (leading to groin pain) or either of the 2 sacroiliac joints at the back (leading to pain in the bum/hip/top of the leg).
It is usually a result of the increased sensitivity in these joints during pregnancy, the changes in posture that pregnancy brings about and sometimes the general stresses and strains of life!As an experienced clinicians, we can help find the problem areas with a thorough assessment. This involves looking at your posture when standing and lying.
