Reginald William Capps

Second Generation

Took over the business in 1921, expanding to two shops before wartime destruction. Demonstrated resilience by continuing operations during World War II and later chaired Plymouth's Jewellery Association.

Andrew Snr

Fifth Generation

Joined the business in 1985, opening a second store in Kingsbridge in 2006. Maintained family traditions while adapting to modern retail practices, including launching the company's online presence.

Had a bracelet resized to fit better. This jewellers is attentive to detail, gave great advice, provided a fantastic speedy service and I would definitely recommend and use again. A level of service you dont get with the big chain jewellers.

Always first class service no manner how much you spend.
Today's experience was even better as both staff being really Covid safe and selfless to protect their customers despite the heat. Recommend to anyone.

It is extremely rare for me to write a review on any retailer. However, I felt I had to redress the balance having read a very critical report. My wife, before she died 6 years ago, was a regular customer and, even more frequently, window shopper. Therefore when I decided, at long last, to replace a stone in one of my her rings I did not hesitate to take it to Wray's. My faith was well rewarded. I was given an estimate for the replacement of the stone but I was also advised that it might be necessary to replace all three stones because of the possibility of subsequent differences in appearance

Purchased my wife a ring through eBay. The ring is beautiful and a lot of her friends comment on its uniqueness. The staff at Wray and Co dealt with me through email and FaceTime to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I would recommend them to everyone shame I live thousands of miles away.
