I have particular interests in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry and endodontics (root canal treatment) for which I recently received a prestigious national award.
Hygienist
Report
Hygienists are fully trained members of the dental team who are chiefly concerned with preventing and treating gum disease by promoting good oral hygiene. Gum disease causes inflammation of the tissue that surrounds teeth and, if this is left untreated, it can lead to recession of the gums. This can cause pockets to develop as the gum moves away from the tooth and eventually lead to loosening of the teeth.

This patient was unhappy with her discoloured front tooth and the unaesthetic bonded repairs to her teeth. We undertook internal whitening and provided cosmetic bonding to get a great result with which she was delighted. This patient had lost his upper right central incisor and premolar due to historic gum problems.
