Tui Na
In China, Tui-Na massage techniques and acupuncture deal with conditions which, in many countries, are also treated by osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists or with drugs. Chinese healing techniques have spread beyond China as a viable and useful alternative treatment. Its massage and acupuncture techniques, refined in hospitals in China and other countries, are used in medical and paramedical practices all over the world.

Chinese massage and acupuncture are as popular in Cornwall as in the rest of the United Kingdom. Our practice in Truro has separate treatment rooms for body massage, waxing, foot massage and acupuncture. We are located in the heart of the city at 16 St. Mary's Street, Truro, Cornwall, TR1 2AF next to the Cathedral Offices.

More about acupuncture

We practice a Chinese needling method handed down by Taoist ancestors 1700 years ago. The therapy concentrates on hand acupuncture, ear acupuncture and foot acupuncture. It has refined over the centuries, over the last century by hospitals and is currently the main stream for acupuncture taught by the UK Academy of Chinese Medicine.

Chinese massage speeds up the internal working of the body. Some clients may feel a bit sleepy afterwards. Some feel thirsty, they are all normal reactions. Our advice is to rest after treatment and drink some water to rehydrate. We have drinking water or Chinese tea available. Strong drinks such as alcohol or highly caffeinated drinks should be avoided for one hour.
