Our food is paired with local McMullen Ales brewed down-the-road in Hertford and a selection of fine wines. We know many vegetarians and vegans are tired of going to the pub and being forced to eat the one meal that's on offer for them, so we're working to continuously improve the range of options. This is good news for vegans, good news for people who like to find new and exciting dishes, but bad news for indecisive vegans.

If you're celebrating with a large group but don't want the formality of sit down meal, why not join us for a buffet? We have three different areas of the pub that can be hired for exclusive use, making them your own private function rooms, but still open-plan so you don't miss out on the atmosphere of the pub.

Does anybody remember pubs? They were a place you could go in the olden days and you could have proper beer from pumps, proper lager and cider on taps which is cold even if you haven't remembered to put it in the fridge (home drinking sucks!), as well as a whole ton of gins and wines, and someone else would do the cooking and washing up for you while you had a good old chinwag with your friends.

Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak, if you're reading obviously this doesn't apply to you, but to everyone who didn't have the foresight to join the Bullingdon club, here's the new rules from today. NO MORE LIMITS ON TABLE SIZE other than how many friends you have and how many chairs we have. TABLE SERVICE ONLY FOR FOOD, AND MAYBE FOR DRINKS We really like table service.
