Apple Loft Apartment
A stylish open-plan apartment sleeping two, designed with modern comforts while preserving rural charm. Includes fully-equipped kitchen, luxury bathroom, and private balcony overlooking the Devon countryside. Perfect for honeymoons or special occasions.
Weathervane Cottage
Sleeps five guests across two bedrooms with additional single bed. Exposed stonework and beams create historic atmosphere. Spacious living area with dining space for all guests, located near shared courtyard with other properties.
Meadow Cottage
Sleeps four guests in two double bedrooms. Offers panoramic countryside views and traditional features including beamed ceilings. Recently renovated to high standards while maintaining original character and charm.
Orchard Guest Suite
Self-contained suite sleeping two guests with private entrance. Ideal for extended families or groups needing additional space. Available for nightly stays with minimum two-night booking requirement.

What types of cottages are available?
We offer five properties: Garden Cottage (2+1), Meadow Cottage (4), Weathervane Cottage (5), Apple Loft Apartment (2), and Orchard Guest Suite (2).
Are pets allowed in the cottages?
Dogs are welcome in Garden, Meadow, and Weathervane Cottages with prior arrangement. Separate pet-friendly policies apply to different properties.
Is EV charging available on-site?
Yes, we provide free electric vehicle charging facilities for guests staying at any of our cottages.
What nearby attractions are accessible?
The Jurassic Coast, Exeter Cathedral, National Trust properties, and Honiton's lace shops are all within 30 minutes' drive from our location.
Can multiple cottages be booked together?
Groups can book multiple cottages simultaneously. The Orchard Guest Suite provides additional accommodation for larger parties needing separate spaces.
Are short breaks available?
Yes, we offer short stays year-round including Christmas and New Year periods. Minimum night requirements vary by season.

I don't know why I've not left feedback before as we have been staying at Twistgates for so many years and it is our little escape to the country. We know the area so well, the cottages are all different but equally great depending on numbers in your party. Suzanne and Duncan are fantastic hosts who leave you to it but are on hand if you need anything. Lovely long walks which leads you to nice pubs. Honiton a few miles away, the coast is a great day out as is Darts Farm near Exeter. There really is lots to discover and just into East Devon. We will keep coming so why don't you give it a try if

We spent an amazing 4 nights nights staying in Apple Loft earlier this month and couldn't fault it at all. Perfect romantic settings for a couple, the accommodation is so well equipped, super clean and the scenery stunning. Loved it and can't wait to go back. Thank you Suzanne & Duncan. x

Lovely holiday cottages in a fabulous area! Have holidayed at Twistgates at least 4 times, staying in each of the cottages. All comfy, warm+self contained. Would highly recommend +will definately return!!

What a gorgeous cottage so cosy and excellent if you have dogs, lots of lovely walks. The owner Suzanne is really helpful and we had some delicious scones on arrival Will definitely be back.
