The continual improvement and progression which resulted from this determination, culminated in Ayrton becoming a Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital in 2009; the highest status possible in veterinary medicine. With this award Ayrton became one of only 7 Veterinary Hospitals in Scotland.
When you've been working in the veterinary profession for 25 years, you see an awful lot of cats - and since 99% of them are adorable, it takes a special cat to grab your attention. It takes a very special cat to get a half million pound veterinary practice named after him. Ayrton was a very special cat.

Our standard consultation is fifteen minutes, to ensure that you have the time required to discuss your concerns in detail with the veterinary surgeon. If we are seeing you and your pet as a second opinion from another practice, then we have an extended consultation time of thirty minutes.
It is our wish that you are able to see the veterinary surgeon of your choice and so once attending with your pet for consultation, you will automatically be booked in to see the same veterinary surgeon at your next visit. If you cannot see the person of your choice at the time you would prefer, then you will be offered an appointment with one of our other veterinary surgeons.

Why Choose Ayrton
Report
Choosing a practice isn't always straightforward so here are some things to consider when making your decision. It is important to know that not all veterinary practices are the same. The vast majority of veterinary practices are graded as General Practice and there are approximately 300 in Scotland.
FAQs
Report
In order to help our clients plan their day and to keep waiting times to a minimum, we do ask owners to pre book appointments. Emergencies will always be seen as a priority. If you do have an emergency, please ask someone to phone ahead if possible to alert us to your arrival. A qualified veterinary nurse or receptionist will answer your call and will be able, for the most part, to deal with your enquiry.
Pet Nutrition
Report
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
