Services
Ladies Group
Report
Martin Rathbone PGA, Golf Lessons in Surrey and Surbiton golf club provide the perfect location for Ladies Group Coaching. Our sessions are based on having fun, are very social (normally we have a drink after the lesson) and of course, improving your golf. They are very popular with both members and non-members and everyone is welcome regardless of your ability.
Golf Holidays
Report
Our golf trips are more than just holidaying with friends or family, we want you to play the best golf you can and how good is it to do it on some fabulous and fascinating golf courses. The intention is to give you the skills to continuingly improve every aspect of your game and at the same time, take those new skills to the golf course.
10 Tips for Your Practise
Report
2. I see so many fools at the driving range who go straight for the driver and trying to hit it as hard as they can. What a great way to injure yourself. Start with a short iron and work up through the bag and then back down again. By starting and finishing with shorter club you will warm up - then warm down your muscles.
Before Your Golf Lessons
Report
The answers I get vary but include things like "well I walked from the car to the practice ground" or "I've been doing housework all morning" which is not really the ideal start. We then have to start the lesson, which you have paid good money for, letting you warm up and stimulate blood flow, not only to get your game going but also as to prevent injury.
Grip Pressure
Report
Gripping the club too tight can cause thin, weak shots that slice. A lighter grip enhances wrist hinge which is a vital power source in the swing. This light pressure also increases the amount of clubface release which will improve your chance of a square clubface at impact. Correct grip pressure, combined with the proper placement of the hands on the club, will give you your greatest chance to produce longer, straighter shots.
