Our modern joinery evolved about 20 years ago with the aim of manufacturing high quality oak flooring and oak doors in line with the Yorkshire ethos of "top quality at a fair price" Machells still work with this as our guiding principle along with a strong belief that our customers should get exactly what they want even if it means that we have to strive that bit harder to achieve it.

Our original range consisted of just four different colour options but over the past twenty odd years we've added to our product family as we've developed colours and finishes that we think are good enough to be part of our classic line up. Our Rubio range is exceptionally versatile with an almost limitless palette of different colours to choose from we've selected a choice few that we think are our future classics.

Doors don't just have to be functional they can also be beautiful so we treat our doors like pieces of furniture from the initial timber selection through to the final polish we want to provide something that will be enjoyed and admired for many years to come.
Our external doors are all made to measure from either Oak or Sapele, we can manufacture doors to any shape or size required and we always encourage our customers to have input at the design stage so the end product is exactly what you want.

The owner of this beautiful traditional cottage in North Yorkshire has used our Period Oak flooring and Staircase panelling to create a stunning ha. This fantastic barn is right in the heart of "Emmerdale" country, the conversion makes the most of pairing the original structure with sympathetic.
