Joining Our School
Report
Now that you have been allocated a place at our school we will then send you a Welcome Pack giving you lots of information and telling you about our Induction Process. Your child will be invited to attend three Induction sessions before the end of the summer term-we will let parents know in advance if their child is in Group A or B.

Great Bardfield Primary School is committed to develop provision for young carers and their families. We will capture the commitment by widening our provision, building on the needs of the young people and better meet young carers' needs by reviewing Great Bardfield's provision for young carers with a view to ultimately achieving best practice.
Helping Your Child

We have introduced Growth Mindset as a way of positively approaching learning. Having a Growth Mindset encourages children to try new things and take risks because they feel secure with making a mistake. It also allows children to know that it is okay to not always be able to do everything and that they can get themselves out of a 'learning pit' by asking others for help and using their skills and strategies to help them.

At Great Bardfield Primary School we follow the new Primary National Curriculum for English and Maths and also for Foundation Subjects with the exception of PSHCE. At Great Bardfield Primary School each class from Year 1 to 6 has outlined a rolling programme of study for our Foundation Subjects. Each class teacher has outlined the teaching of the Curriculum in a Class Curriculum leaflet shown below.
