Have used 1st waste now for nearly a year for our commercial waste. Could not rate enough, in particular Ellis - who has always been so helpful and always on call and prompt to sort out any adjustments to our account and resolved the one issue we have had in a year which was through no fault of ourselves or 1st waste instantly.

Due to Covid-19 we were called to find out if we wanted to suspend collection which we did. Having spoken to Jess Bates yesterday requesting a collection, she got one organised which was completed before 7am today. Well done Jess and the team, excellent service!!

Service isn't too bad for the majority of the time, we have had issues with missed collections, and have to ring up to get them to come back out, sometimes this will take a few days. This is a bit of a frustration. Especially when we have forgotten to put bins out on the collection day, we get a call to say we will get charged extra for a missed collection? this doesn't make sense, as they have done less work, have less waste, and we get hit with extra charges. They don't refund us any money when they miss a collection! could be better, it is only due to being a central contract arranged via our

I work in the old town of Edinburgh, and I've seen a negligable benefit to using a waste management company in the last few years....We end up complaining to the waste management company about missed collections...but there are no penalties placed upon on the companies they vet or employ, so no motivation to offer a better service - It's a bit like the Emperour's new clothes - I might just go back to directly hiring bin men...We shall see.

Absolutely rubbish company I have to call up every single week for my bins to be taken even still they don't take it they reschedule it for another day I would not recommend this company to anyone at all everytime i call up the same answer is well call up the depo the comaony do not take any responsibility for thier problems if it is the depo why havnt they sorted it out already it seriously didn't take a year does it

0 stars. There isn't really anything that could make 1st Waste any less useful. Every single month time is wasted calling rectifying accounting issues or missed collections. Never had a correct invoice 1st time, bins are emptied sporadically. Every phone call to customer services takes days to rectify and the blame is always pushed to "the depot". 1st Waste take no ownership nor responsibility for the service that they are providing. What an absolute waste of time.
