The club provides a fully licensed bar with a bar snack menu from 8am until dusk all year round. We have a restaurant that can provide 3 course meals for up to 120 people and a lovely decking area with stunning vistas of the course that seats up to 70 people. With spacious changing rooms, showers and towel hire, you should have everything you need to relax before and after your game of golf.

Set in 150 acres of Suffolk countryside in the old grounds of Hintlesham Hall, the course was designed by renowned course architects Hawtree & Co, and modified by Walker Cup Captain Peter McEvoy in 1989 and opened in 1990 to much acclaim.
Part of the front nine plays alongside Home Wood, a beautiful landscaped garden (but decimated in the 1987 hurricane) and reputed to be where the painter Thomas Gainsborough drew his inspiration for his picture of young Heneage Lloyd and his elder sister and painted in the 1750's.

Our thriving ladies golf section has a mix of players from absolute beginners through to highly accomplished players, who meet every Thursday morning to play either social golf or one of the monthly medals or stablefords. Our ladies are very active in inter-club competitions including the Weston, the Haskell and the Stearn.

Phil Westley is a 'AA' PGA Golf Professional and has been part of the golf club since 2002, starting his golfing career as a Junior Member. Over the years Phil has had great golfing success. He has won the Club Championships twice and a number of Suffolk Order of Merit events. Phil has regularly represented the Suffolk County First team and proudly they won the English Counties Cup (the first time for 150 years).
