We have an open-door policy which means that parents are welcome to communicate with all our staff at any time, we know how precious the children are and we want to provide the best service to the whole family at all times.As working parents ourselves, we understand the difficulties involved in getting childcare, therefore we offer longer opening hours as standard, lower nursery fees and a flexible childcare approach.

Your children come first at Ysgubor Fach. Staff are chosen for their proven experience, qualifications, enthusiasm, dedication, and a genuine love for the children. The staff at Ysgubor Fach take great pride in offering the best service that they can to the children - whether it is planning a challenging activity for the children, to giving a tired child a story and cuddle, we accommodate to the needs of the child.
Activities

The aim of the nursery is to provide a caring and homely atmosphere for the children in our care, whilst promoting an independence and a love of learning through providing the children with a choice and range of activities. The happiness of our children is our number one aim and if we can stimulate them educationally as well then that is an added bonus.
Outdoor Activities

We have animals at the front of the nursery, the children will visit the animals supervised with staff. The children absolutely love going out to feed the ducks, pet the rabbits and see the chickens. We believe that the outside play areas are as important as the inside.
With this in mind, in addition to the large outside toys that you would expect to see, such as bikes and slides, examples of other things we have are planters for growing vegetables and flowers, a mud kitchen, a water feature for the children to explore, a sandpit.Wherever possible staff take activities outside for the children.

Daily Reports

We welcome parents at the nursery and keep parents informed via daily reports, newsletters, parents' evenings and our website. We acknowledge how difficult it can be to leave your child and will do our utmost to assist you when your child is settling or with any queries you may have. We have an online communication system called EYLog which we used to communicate daily with parents.
Food and Nutrition
Report
From weaning upwards, our meals appeal to all appetites at Ysgubor Fach. Our food is freshly prepared daily in our kitchen. Our fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered to us weekly. At mealtimes the children will be together around the table, where the mood is relaxed and social. Healthy eating is a must for a growing child to help in their development and we will work with you to ensure that your child gets all that they need.
