Encapsulation

All original stained glass panels can be encapsulated into double glazed units. This process involves preparing the glass by soldering a y-shape edge lead around the panel that will hold it in the centre of the unit. If needing any repairs, broken or cracked pieces are, therefore, matched and replaced.

Clients can choose from a large range of glass colours and textures and all work is produced to the highest quality using traditional hand-craft techniques. Many repairs can be fixed in-situ providing the lead is in good condition. It is also possible to completely re-lead old panels if they have become too bowed or damaged.
