W.H. Preene & Son is a family owned, four generation business. Initially established by Watkin Henry Preene as a Wheelwrights business in Llantrisant where they also carried out undertaking for the local community. The Preene family have served the surrounding communities of Llantrisant and surrounding areas for over seventy years and they have built up a very good relationship and reputation with local families and clergy.

Report
These arrangements are discussed with you by our expert professionally qualified staff, either at our premises, or if you prefer in the privacy of your own home, and tailored to meet your exact requirements. The date and time of the funeral are arranged by us in negotiation with the family and Minister - and availability of the crematorium or cemetery selected.
What to do first
Report
If the death occurs at home (and once a doctor has given his permission), we will attend as soon as requested and remove the deceased to our premises, the deceased will then remain in one of our Reposing Rooms until the funeral.
If the death occurs in a hospital, the deceased is automatically taken to the hospital mortuary, and must remain there until the family has registered the death and provided us with a Certificate for Burial or Cremation (known as the "Green Form").If the death occurs in hospital, the certificate will usually be available for collection from the Bereavement Office.
