So pleased to have found Jaks! I have a holiday home here on the Island and having very short hair I need it cut every few weeks, so having somewhere I can rely on to keep my hair trimmed when I am staying here is great. I called and managed to get an appointment on the same day which was brilliant. Martha did a fantastic job of tidying up my outgrown cut and styled it beautifully after not batting an eyelid at my fussiness. I am super particular about my hair and Martha was fab. I am so pleased with it. I had a really lovely welcome from the receptionist and felt at ease straight away. It's not

Receptionist had my details in their records 3 times !!! but when the hairdresser called in sick managed to call someone else rather than to tell me my appointment was cancelled despite my getting a text on my mobile the day before confirming my appointment...... So a wasted journey.
Previously when I popped in to see if I could wait to speak briefly with my hairdresser about booking highlights be it a full head or half ahead was rudly told no and not asked to wait for the hairdresser to finish with their current client.
Then to find I've paid over £100 for highlights and a cut that's so bad

Sorry I was 10 mins late for make -up.. tried to call to advise held up on ferry crossing ,,, went to answer phone ,,,
Was told too late to have make-up even though I had booked 3 wks ago fo a special event ,,, no sympathy towards me ,,
So I had my hair done 10 mins early ,,, was out in 8 minutes , £15 cost ,,, no customer care at all !!! Will not recommend , poor
