I was educated in Newcastle under Lyme then at Liverpool University where I gained my BVSc. I worked in Lichfield for 11 years at Pool House Veterinary Hospital where I decided to concentrate on small animal veterinary care. I've lived in the area for most of my life, mostly in Market Drayton then after university it's been Lichfield and Armitage.

Emergency Service

At the current time we have a vet and a nurse 'on call' outside of our normal working hours (6.30pm-8am Monday to Friday and 1pm Saturday - 8am Monday). The staff are usually at home and not working in the practice. They attend the practice when required.
This means that the vets and nurses can regularly work in excess of 80 hours per week; and we are sure that you appreciate if a vet has to deal with a middle of the night emergency it impacts on their ability to provide your pet with best patient care the next day due to lack of sleep.I have decided to partner with Vets Now who specialise in providing dedicated out of hours care at nights and weekends.

Thank you for looking after me whenever I visit your surgery. In particular I would like to say a very special 'Thank You' for caring for me during my eye infection. The vet at the hospital said that without your prompt actions I would have certainly lost my eye, whereas not only do I still have my eye but I also have full vision.
