Tried to keep the entire security deposit just for 'redecoration' - had to appeal the case and eventually we won, but it took months. No support for the tenants, predatory against overseas students with minimal resources for fighting legal disputes. Have heard similar reports from other students losing their entire deposit with no justification when they go back home.
