Our History

Peter Dodd Family Funeral Directors were established in 1982. Peter worked for a number of Funeral Directors before setting up his own business in Grindon where he was brought up by his mother Kath. After a number of years Peter expanded and opened his second funeral home in Roker. After many years of looking after the business and caring for the public Peter sadly passed away while on holiday in Spain.

Our Fleet

Peter Dodd Funerals have a luxury hearse and two matching limousines designed for comfort and space for the elderly. The vehicles are built to a very high standard of quality and craftmanship and can comfortably seat seven people. We also have a range of alternative transport available including white or black horse drawn carraige and a Triumph Adventurer motor cycle and sidecar hearse.
