R&S Barnwell

Established in the 1930s by Ralf Barnwell, our business began as a vegetable-growing operation to support the war effort. Over decades, we expanded into cultivating flowering plants, evolving into a trusted supplier for local shops and garden centres. Now in our third generation, we combine heritage expertise with modern horticultural practices to offer bedding plants, vegetables, shrubs, and perennials to trade and public customers. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our partnerships with local suppliers, emphasis on British-grown products, and dedication to supporting community businesses. Through our sister company, Pioneer Planting, we extend our expertise to professional landscaping services. With a loyal customer base and team of local employees, we remain rooted in traditional values while adapting to contemporary gardening needs.

Our handmade wreaths and wreath-making kits, crafted from locally sourced materials, exemplify our attention to detail and seasonal creativity. We pride ourselves on providing tailored advice, from small residential gardens to large-scale commercial projects, ensuring every client receives expert guidance. Our decades of experience, combined with a passion for horticulture, position us as a reliable partner for all planting and landscaping requirements. We thank our customers for their continued trust and look forward to serving future generations with the same dedication.
