History
Report
We believe that learning about significant events and people in History should lay the foundations for an inquisitive and questioning mind. History at Linton Mead is not solely fact and knowledge based: they will build on this to enquire and make connections with the impact certain events had on decisions.
Our School
Report
At Linton Mead, we believe in providing a creative, stimulating and challenging curriculum where our children feel safe to take risks. We believe in helping children develop their resilience and preparing them for a successful, happy life. We believe in our children becoming higher order thinkers and problem solvers who have strong autonomy and control over their actions and choices.
Pupil Premium
Report
Pupil Premium funding is additional funding for publicly funded schools to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities. The aim of the funding is to assist schools in closing the gaps between disadvantaged pupils and their peers. Tackling the challenges faced by all children, including our vulnerable children, and giving them the best opportunities possible is key to our teaching and learning ethos at Linton Mead.
Pupil Premium Statement
Report
At Linton Mead, we take a holistic approach to children's barriers to learning and address our children's individual needs rather than providing a blanket approach to intervention. The vast majority of pupils needs are met through a high quality, challenging curriculum, with a focus on achieving year on year improvements in standards for all children.
Our Core Priorities
Report
A1 Accelerate the progress of all children across the school by addressing gaps through a recovery curriculum; having a particular focus on KS1 to KS2 and the number of children achieving GDS in maths. A2 Raise attainment in reading for all children in reading with a specific focus on progress and attainment in early reading.
