Administratively very poor. Too much on their own greatness, not that great. I have not heard of any charity work they do? So, expensive, and virtual signaling, oh what good child I am. More custards, than plum, if plum then stone - ego. More caring and charity otherwise your just a worker, polishing brass medals!

We have used Castle vets for a few years now and have always been pleased with their caring attitude. But they really came into their own when one of cats came to the end of her life and it became clear she needed to be put to sleep. We made an emergency appointment and were told to bring her along immediately. The vet that we saw couldn't have been kinder and more patient and made a horrible time bearable. They then followed up with a card expressing their condolences.
We recommend unreservedly this vet practice to anyone with a pet.

I visited Castle Vets for over a year with my hamster Jeffery. They looked after him so well! He wouldn’t have lasted as long as he did if it wasn’t for them. I can’t express my appreciation enough for how much they did for my little Jeff. He had to go in for a teeth every every 2 weeks and they treated him so amazingly. When Jeff passed away the vets made it so much easier for me.

Pricey vets however, the vet who look care of my pets needs was very kind and gentle, patient with the animal and took their time. Also gave advice upon further problems which may arise, and gave me options on which course of treatment would suit pet. Explain how medication would work etc. Receptionist very informative. They are very slow at dealing with prescriptions, so be prepared to wait.

Nothing is too much trouble for Castle vets. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The vet we saw was amazing and explained absolutely everything in detail to us. We were not rushed out like other vets we have been to. I would highly recommend this practice.

I have been a client for over 5 years. They have always been fantastic with my dogs. When my dog got knocked over and was rushed in they all went above and beyond. They also took huge consideration and compassion for us.
We as owners try our best not to always use chemicals. We have spoken to the vets about out wishes and they have never been too pushy about medication. Which means so much to use.
When our other dog was diagnosed with a liver shunt the vet did do also of research about this as its not something they know anything about, she took the tome to learn about this issue and gave the

Castle vets is sure to provide and excellent service to pets and owners alike. The staff is very friendly and never fails to make the pets as comfortable as possible. One of my dogs used to be very scared of going to the vets but ever since I swapped to castle vets it’s not been a problem. On 2 occasions the dog had to stay overnight and I was kept informed about his condition throughout the stay. When I picked him up he was super calm and already felt much better than when I dropped him of the day before. Also waiting times for making appointments are very reasonable and they also have a separate

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the team at Castle vets for all their care of Freddie and his humans these past few days. Special thanks to Miranda for all her kindness and taking time to explain… everything to us. We think that Freddie may have had Alabama rot so he has had very close, daily monitoring of his lesions and bloods. They consulted with specialist vets in Winchester and talked us through his results, helping us decide on a plan of action. Thankfully his kidneys have not been affected and we realise we have been very lucky. I cannot thank you enough for your expertise

We have been with Castle vets for a good few years now with both our cats and puppy. They are always happy, friendly and helpful. This weekend we woke up to a very poorly puppy who had clearly swallowed something he shouldn’t. Although their day was fully booked and busy, they didn’t hesitate to take him in immediately. From the moment he walked… through their door he was seen, scanned and into surgery without missing a beat. He was on the mend within 4 hours of my call to them. Not once did I need to worry as I know I can trust their judgement and that our little floofs are

My Jack Russell Terrier recently underwent a major surgery during Christmas to remove a mammary tumour. Vito at the Reading practice was nothing but superb throughout the whole process. Taking the initiative to ensure my pet's comfort wherever possible, he was always happy to send me any additional information whenever required to put my family and… I at ease, and keep us informed throughout the process. His genuine interest in my pet's well being was clear from the time and patience he showed towards her, and his own request to remain up-to-date of her recovery post surgery despite being

Just want to post this on here we took our jack Russell to castle vets in reading last night because she wasn't looking to good after having puppies early yesterday morning the vet said she had a dead puppy left inside of her and they would take it out at a very high price which we was happy to pay. They sent her home with us saying she was going… to be fine this morning when we checked on her she was in a very bad state so we took her to easy pet care in Woodley and they gave her a X-ray and told us there was still a dead puppy and unfortunately we had to have her put to sleep we are devastated

We’ve had nothing but great experiences with the lovely staff at Castle Vets. They are always so pleased to see our cats, which makes the whole experience more pleasant for both us and our felines. The surgery is fully wheelchair accessible and the staff have been nothing but super helpful about accommodating my wheelchair. The vets are friendly… and very thorough in both gathering information from us and in performing the needed examinations. They always discuss all our options for treatment and testing with us, and help us make the right decision for our cats. We really couldn&rsquo

I volunteer and look after injured bats as part of the Hampshire Bat Conservation Trust and over the last couple of weeks, Castle Vets have been absolutely brilliant for helping with injured bats out of hours.
The dedication and sheer level of care given to this protected species is so lovely to see - especially considering a number of vets refuse to handle or help injured bats.
Really responsive and lovely staff whether on email or phone. It's worth driving 30 minutes from Basingstoke to know that even wildlife is cared for so well.

Gemma was so helpful and reassuring. Kept us updated regularly and calmed us. I will be recommending them to anyone and everyone.

Wonderfuly kind and professional vets. I am always slightly nervous taking my rabbit to a new vet as I have had bad experiences in the past. However, everyone we have met here has understood that rabbits need to be treated differently because they are so nervous and they have been so wonderful with my old rabbit. They have even offered for us to… wait in a little separate room instead of the waiting room, as dogs baking make him nervous. During the lockdown they were able to treat him when he was suddenly unwell and he has made a full recovery. Cannot praise them enough.
