Lovely food and very accomodating staff. We came in a large group with 4 toddlers and they were happy to cater to the children's needs an split our bill etc.

Popped in on the spur of the moment while ambling around Lyndhurst, wanted Tea and lunch for 4 - included 2x seniors. Staff are lovely. Atmosphere is friendly, homely. And the food was delicious. I had a landowners plate (I think that's what it was called), and it has to have been the best ham I have ever tasted. Good cheese, chutney, and bread!! Wish I lived closer....

Visited the tra house for brunch. bacon and eggs were very good, a rather generous portion too for the price. also treated myself to cream tea but the scones were not crumbly and the amount of jam for 2 scones really not enough. still, a 4* for the welcoming and friendly service
