With the benefit of a driving instructor with a high pass rate, you can be assured that you will receive patient and effective tuition to the highest standard. All lessons are taken at the customers own pace. Therefore more confident and naturally gifted drivers will be encouraged to progress quicker, whereas a more anxious less able driver will be allowed more time and encouragement to progress as fast as they feel comfortable with.

There are a number of reasons for this. The main one is that currently in the UK, if you pass your driving test in a manual car, that entitles you to drive "automatic cars" as well. However that doesn't apply if you pass your test in an automatic car, you are only entitled to drive automatics. If you wish to drive manual cars then you would need to take another driving test.

Peter Skelton Driving School provide automatic driving lessons in Newbury, Thatcham and Basingstoke. Automatic driving lessons were something of a rarity many years ago to the extent I rarely ever got asked if I do them. Nowadays possibly 50 per cent of enquiries are for such lessons. Now is a good time if you do want to take automatic lessons.
Intensive

Intensive driving lessons may be just what you're looking for. Some people don't want to spend months of their time taking one or two hour driving lessons per week, therefore an intensive or semi-intensive course may be the right thing for you. Our courses do not include the booking of the practical driving test.
Refresher

Whether you're feeling nervous about going out on the road or just a little rusty, perhaps some refresher lessons are just the thing for you. Whether you have passed your driving test recently or many years ago we can tailor lessons to suit your needs. The lessons can cover any aspect of driving including; refresher lessons after a long absence of driving, motorway driving, parking or anything else that may leave you feeling anxious.
Motorway

Motorway Driving Lessons are something that many pupils ask for either during lessons are after their driving test. Now that pupils can drive on motorways as learners then we can incorporate motorway driving on lessons before the pupil goes to test. However pupils never go on motorways as part of the driving test.
