Joanne is a fully qualified Nursery Practitioner with over twenty years of childcare experience. Together they lead the Water's Edge Team. Carl & Kelly are fully qualified Early Years Teachers both holding a BA degree in Early Years Care and Education, their experience and wealth of knowledge has been a great asset to the nursery.
As a management team Joanne, Carl and Kelly work together to maintain the high standards that we pride ourselves on. Undergoing an extensive re development in 2016 Waters Edge is once again providing exceptional childcare facilities through it's new modern approach and design.

Report
With such a fantastic outcome we have spent the past 5 years working hard to continue our Outstanding practice. We have continued to develop our team of practitioners, our environment and our knowledge to ensure our practice is to the highest standard. Children are respectful, kind and polite. Staff consistently praise children for their efforts and achievements and this results in excellent levels of confidence and self-esteem.

Our highly experienced and motivated team work hard together to ensure that your child fulfils their early years. To make the team at Waters Edge we employ a commited workforce, 10 of whom are graduates in childcare and education. All of our practitioners are First Aid trained and have undergone training in Safeguarding through the Calderdale Safeguarding Board.
Funding
Report
Funding is delivered 9am-6pm, which equals 9 hours of your 15 or 30 hour entitlement, this will be delivered in funding blocks 9am-12, 12-3pm and 3-6pm. Options are available to wrap extra hours around the funded sessions to provide you with additional care as required, these options must be booked at the start of the funding term and are set for that term, changes can only be made to this each term and must be booked with the office.

Working alongside our parents and carers is one of our main priorities, having this strong relationship helps us not only settle your child into nursery quickly and effectively it creates a firm foundation allowing us to work together throughout your child's time at nursery. All carers are friendly at all times and the level of education and care is to a high standard.
Security
Report
We understand how important it is that parents know their child is safe whilst in someone else's care so we take this matter very seriously. CCTV surrounds the building allowing us to view what is happening around us at all times. This allows us to take a copy of every parents/carers finger print; the parent is then able to let themselves into the building when bringing or collecting their child.
