Physiotherapy
Our comprehensive physiotherapy services address musculoskeletal conditions through tailored treatment plans. We combine manual therapy, exercise prescription, and advanced techniques to restore mobility and reduce pain. With expertise in treating sports injuries, chronic pain, and postural issues, our approach focuses on long-term recovery and functional improvement for patients of all activity levels.
Shock Wave Therapy
Extracorporeal shock wave therapy treats chronic tendinopathies and musculoskeletal injuries. This non-invasive technique stimulates healing in damaged tissues through targeted acoustic waves. Ideal for conditions like plantar fasciitis and tennis elbow, it offers rapid pain relief and accelerated recovery when combined with rehabilitation exercises.
Manual Therapy
Our manual therapy techniques include joint mobilisations, soft tissue manipulation, and muscle energy techniques. These hands-on approaches improve joint mobility, reduce muscle tension, and restore normal movement patterns. Particularly effective for spinal and extremity conditions, our therapists adapt techniques to individual patient needs and comfort levels.
Postural Training
Specialised postural training addresses work-related and lifestyle-induced musculoskeletal strain. We assess individual biomechanics to develop corrective exercise programs that improve spinal alignment and muscle balance. This proactive approach prevents recurring neck, shoulder, and back pain through sustained postural awareness and muscle re-education.
Sports Physiotherapy
Sports-specific physiotherapy caters to athletes at all levels, focusing on injury prevention and performance optimisation. Our treatments combine sports massage, proprioceptive training, and functional rehabilitation to address common sporting injuries. We work closely with clients to develop return-to-sport programs that ensure safe and complete recovery.

Report
Nicholas is an excellent physiotherapist. I went there for chronic pain in my Achilles (very stiff as a result of overtraining in the past, to the point that just walking was painful), and we did the shockwave therapy. The results have been excellent. The pain is now gone, and Nicholas gave me exercises to strengthen the tendons and muscles progressively and avoid the pain coming back. As a long-term sportsperson, I will be sure to come back when a new injury appears.

My elbow ache turned out to be an issue with my shoulder. Sorted after a couple sessions but I booked several more to fix my poor posture. Brilliant guy, he's an expert on human musculature ... and a friendly person too!

Nicholas quickly diagnosed the problem with my painful and inflexible shoulder, which had been bothering me for months. He provided relief through massage and gave me easy exercises. I was back to normal in a few short weeks. I wish I hadnt waited so long to go and see him!

I had a rotator cuff impairment after a fall on a bus and could barely raise my arm. Within a few appointments the improvement was amazing. Now back to normal and I cannot recommend highly enough. Would use definitely use again.

I first came across e-physiotherapy after experiencing severe pain in my neck, arm and shoulder which was keeping me up at night. Nicholas is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He quickly identified the issue and he made sure to give me a realistic timeline for recovery. Nicholas mapped out a course of treatment and gave me at-home exercises which led me to a full recovery. I am very thankful to Nicholas to get me back to normal and I recommend e-physiotherapy to anyone who is looking for an excellent physiotherapist in Edinburgh.
