From the moment you step into the Clubhouse you will receive a warm and friendly welcome from both Members and Staff. Whickham Golf Club was founded in 1911 and moved to its present site at Hollinside Park in 1938. The Hollinside Park Course was extended to become a par 71 for men and a par 74 for ladies.
This imaginative layout provides a challenging test for golfers of all abilities. It is an inspirational parkland course with spectacular views along the Derwent Valley. Scoring is determined more by accuracy than length as you plot your way through the tree-lined fairways to target small, tricky greens.

If you require any help regarding a membership application please phone the Office, Tel 0191 488 1576 Ext 2 or call into the Office. The Club can offer an instalment payment scheme over 10 months on annual subscriptions. All members receive a loyalty card that enables a member to obtain a 10% discount on bar purchases.

The Clubhouse is very comfortably furnished and accommodates all the facilities you would come to expect of a modern golf club as well as fantastic views over the 18th Hole and Derwent Valley. The facilities include a lounge and dining area with a fully licensed bar serving a wide range of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The UK Government has confirmed that one to one coaching is permissible outdoors providing you are alone and only meeting with 1 person from outside of your household and that you are staying a minimum of 2 metres apart.
