Not bad. Service was not great and the food was ok, my friend enjoyed his. I'd probably find somewhere else to try next time I'm in that area. It seemed popular but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend.

Lovely Sunday roast. My family and I went for a Sunday roast last month and unfortunately didn't have the best experience due to the chef going home ill and leaving the pub understaffed. However, the next day we get a phone call from the pub apologising, putting their hands up and acknowledging the issue, and offering us a free meal for the family to show us what a proper Sir John Barleycorn experience is. Today we took them up on that offer and it was one of the best pub Sunday roasts we have had. Brilliant food and great service. They didn't have to be generous and do that, but they did, and

Polite, courteous and very friendly staff, good varied menu, Stake and Ale pie was excellent, as was the Linguine apparently. Service was excellent. Not cheap, but good value for good food and experience.
5 stars with no hesitation.

Found this place off the off chance walking our dogs, great coffee and amazing service. Will definitely have to go back to to try something to eat as food smelt good

An enormous part of eating out is the atmosphere , service and of course, the food. We had a great lunch with the best of everything. The staff couldn't do enough to help us - they went the full monty! Would definitely come back for more!

My wife and I used to visit this place regularly for lunch up to about 2 years ago the staff an food were excellent. After the lockdown we tried it again which was quite a bit of a let down, however, we did give it another try today at lunchtime and found a vast improvement from our last visit. There were 2 very polite and capable young ladies serving both drinks and food and doing an excellent job.The food we has improved considerably and prices on par for the area. The only downside was some bloke in a pair of shorts, presumably a manager of some sort bellowing across the pub to the 2 young ladies

Great pub layout and decor. Great service from the young lady. Not so vegan friendly, didn't have many options and sad to see no vegan hot choc but I know it has changed owners. I was happy enough with my chips though as only wanted a snack.
