Fun Foundations Day Nursery
As a leading nursery, based in Cowbridge and not far from Bridgend, we believe that learning through fun and adventure is great for children. Thank you to Leean, who calmed my anxiety in the early ears and helped my little boy settle in, Eliza who has the best diplomatic skills for 'spinning' any bad day into a positive, Natalie who makes my little boy happy and his first love.

Aimee, who will always be 'his Aimee'. Here's to the Fun Bus, afternoons at nursery, holiday club. A HUGE thank you for being an amazing support to our little girl. You have nurtured her since 9 months old until now. She has always been happy to spend a day with you and she has learnt and experienced so much.

Our Aims
Report
At Fun Foundations Day Nursery we strongly believe in a child-centred curriculum, this is why we use 'The Foundation Phase' framework to guide the development of routines and activities. We are focused on the individual and endeavour to cater for each individual's needs taking a holistic approach to care and education.
School Collections
Report
We currently collect from, and take to, four local schools. These include Y Bont Faen, Ysgol Iolo Morganwg, St. Illtyd, Ysgol Y Ddraig, Llansannor, St Davids CIW, Llanfair and Llangan. There are a number of different requirements depending on the individuals childcare needs so we advise that all parents discuss their requests with one of the nursery management team.
Cowbridge After School & Holiday Club
Report
Children are collected using nursery transport and return to the After School club to complete home work and have their tea in a relaxed environment with familiar staff. The club is very small and only has space for 15 children. The aim is to provide peace of mind for parents that the children are cared for after a long day in school in familiar and relaxed surroundings.
St Illtyd After School Club
Report
We currently collect children aged 3 - 12 years from St Illtyd Primary School and take them to the Western Vale Integrated Children's Centre, which is the building attached to the school. The aim is to provide peace of mind for parents that the children are cared for after a long day in school in familiar and relaxed surroundings.
Food & Drink
Report
We aim to provide a healthy, nutritious, balanced diet. This also has to be appealing to the children in order to encourage them to try new foods and eat their meals! Susan, the Nursery Cook, has achieved this with the creation of a four-week, seasonal menu. The children have had an input with the menu through helping the team plant the vegetable and herb gardens and collecting produce to take to the kitchen to cook.
