Carved Wood Design
Located in the village of Kettleshulme, Cheshire, Carved Wood Design is a great example of alternative thinking. Uneasy with simplistic conventional furniture and kitchen design, Gareth the owner, aims for originality at all times ignoring fashion trends and the principle of built in obsolescence. Flexibility in design means unlimited possibilities, a truly bespoke service from a furniture artist.

The build quality is exceptional, in-frame construction with traditional joints and solid wood on the inside of all cabinets, with wood carvings out of the solid. All woods are from sustainable sources including unusual figured woods such as Pippy/Burr Oak, Fiddle Back Sycamore, Swiss Pear, Cedar Of Lebanon, Native Walnut and the recently introduced paint finishes on solid hardwood.

Gareth offers personal and friendly advice and a truly original one-off experience that is nothing like you may encounter in a high street glossy showroom staffed by commission-hungry hard-sell mannequins.

Truly unique, alternative and stunning kitchen design ideas can be found by looking through the gallery pages of this site or perhaps you have been gathering kitchen inspiration ideas on instagram or on pinterest boards yourself, and no doubt reached the conclusion that everything looks the same.Thinking outside of the box comes naturally to Gareth who rejects mainstream thinking out of hand, and always pursues the road less travelled.
