Meet the team
Report
As a customer, you will always see the same faces in the shop and be able to ask for us by name. Lisa has been in optics for over 20 years and manages the shop, Alex, Jo's sister, is a qualified Dispensing Optician with over 25 years experience and Holly is the latest addition to the team. Altogether, we make for a strong, dedicated and professional team of whom Jo is very proud.
What we do
Report
When it comes to frames, we specialise in brands that we are truly passionate about, because we believe our customers deserve the very best. Real style doesn't date; it doesn't need a fanfare; and you'll look better than you've ever looked before. Jo Padmore is also a skilled contact lenses practitioner and our practice has been awarded recognition as an Acuvue Centre Of Excellence.
Who is Jo Padmore
Report
Jo Padmore is an optician who absolutely loves her job and is very proud of her little practice in the heart of Didsbury village. Born in Withington Hospital and raised in Burnage, Jo's future was mapped out at the age of seven, helping at her mother's optometry practice.

Little Miss Padmore was quick to spot that attentive customer service is the key to good business, earning her pocket money as a mini receptionist who smiled and talked a lot, yes, even then! The clincher, of course, was none other than the revolving optician's chair (many of hours of fun were spent, spinning friends around until they fell off).
