Barnquee
Report
We decided we wanted something different, something unique - the blending of a barn and a beautiful marquee - carefully constructed using beautiful Larch tree trunks from the nearby Falkland Estate. The Barnquee seats up to 160 guests, has a rustic bar, catering tent, luxury loos and plenty of space for your band and dancing!
Castle
Report
Myres Castle really is a hidden wonder. Once you have driven through the gates you feel as though you have entered another world! The castle is old and full of nooks and crannies, spiral staircases and towers! However, even though it is nearly 500 years old, the castle feels warm and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful, full of history and antiques - your weekend will feel like a house party and your guests will be welcomed warmly.
Garden
Report
The gardens at Myres have evolved over the years but it was James Fairlie who laid out the spectacular Vatican Garden in the 1880's. He had been the Chamberlain to three Popes at the end of the 19th Century in Rome and wanted to bring back a part of the Vatican to Fife. There are a number of walks and avenues, enticing you down them to see where they lead.
Ceremony
Report
The ceremony is such a personal part of the day and at Myres the choice of where you do it is yours! Ceremonies can take place in the cosy Applestore (seating 120 guests), with its beautiful stained glass window and wood burning stove. Alternatively, you can get married surrounded by the scent of roses in the Vatican Garden, under the awesome branchesd of the ancient copper beach tree or on the majestic front lawn overlooking the Castle.
