The Cottage Day Nurseries

As a mother of four children myself, I can relate to the feeling most parents experience when making the decision to place their baby into the care of someone else. Fortunately for me I had already established The Cottage when my first daughter was born. My own experiences and needs as a working mum have helped develop the nursery to the standard it is today.

Since 1990 we have expanded and developed our Derby nursery into the extensive setting it is today. It features vast indoor and outdoor areas with rich learning opportunities and top quality resources. We are proud that what was once our family's home still remains a caring and homely environment many years later.

Boasting a homely feel throughout, our Mickleover nursery offers beautiful indoor and outdoor environments for children aged 0-5 years. If you would like to arrange a site visit to see the nursery for yourself and talk to our team, we'd be delighted to give you a tour. Our Mickleover Nursery is conveniently located on Uttoxeter Road, just up from the Derby Royal Hospital, with parking available on-site.

Conveniently located in the heart of Heanor, our excellent facilities and highly-trained staff have been caring for local families for over 20 years. Our Heanor Nursery is on the outskirts of the town centre, on the corner of Mansfield Road and Howitt Street.
