We are a family-run, unique barn wedding venue in beautiful Northumberland. We pride ourselves on giving couples a truly unique wedding with the option of a one-day or three-day celebration, offering the freedom to enjoy the venue and surrounding spaces their way! Doxford Barns is an award-winning barn wedding venue nestled within a private 550-acre country estate, along the Northumberland coast near Alnwick.
The Threshing Hall

The Threshing Hall is the jewel in the crown at Doxford Barns. Dating back to the 18th century, we have lovingly restored this traditional stone and oak barn to create a striking setting for romantic barn ceremonies. We have retained the Threshing Hall's original character including its solid oak frame, hand-carved stone walls, grand fireplace, exposed balcony and flagstone floor.
The Great Barn

The Great Barn sits at the centre of our barn wedding venue and provides the perfect setting to host your wedding breakfast. The Great Barn can cater for up to 180 day guests, followed by evening entertainment capacity for up to 250 evening guests. Views from the Great Barn overlook uninterrupted rolling green meadows, which creates a beautiful backdrop and adds to the charm of this highly impressive space.

The beautiful scenery at Doxford Barns includes corn fields, a vast lake, farmhouse lawn and the green spaces laid out in front of the wedding venue itself, where you can choose to host your reception drinks, relax with champagne and toast the happy couple.
The Morning Room

The Morning Room has been designed to give our couples another luxurious and calming space to prepare ahead of walking down the aisle. In a room that affords plenty of space, our interior designer has chosen a contemporary design that delivers a luxuriously tranquil ambience with statement wallpaper by Harlequin Sumi that reflects off the magnificent mirror, whilst a pop of colour cleverly balances the sophisticated muted tones in the room.
