Last year I have moved to Freedom from a big insurer and I don't regret it. I finally feel that I am talking to real people and not just some emotionless robots (like with the previous company). I had to make a claim twice since I switched my health insurance policy to them and I was impressed with their speed and dedication every single time. Once, I needed my claim to be approved by the next day and they've done it. I can't recommend them enough.

Avoid like the plague. Freedom will try anything to avoid approving claims, however routine or complex. Their definition of what constitutes a pre-existing condition is so broad that almost any conceivable new illness will be described as pre-existing, should your medical history include vaguely associated symptoms. For example, if you were to experience new digestive troubles that required a specialist consultant, but had previously complained to a GP of a stomach ache, Freedom will not approve the claim. I even had a claim in which I provided written advice from a gastroenterologist of 30 years

I have been a Freedom client for over 3 years and I was always treated in a friendly and courteous way. Their customer service has always been great, even last year when I had to make a claim for a knee surgery that was dealt with in a very professional manner and approved very quickly (despite the covid situation). I can't recommend them enough.
