Opened in 1937, and designed by H S Colt, we became a members' club in 1964. St Mellons is a beautiful, easy walking parkland course, with some lovely views over the Bristol Channel, which provides a good challenge for all ages and standards of golfer. It is very well maintained with excellent clubhouse facilities, practice areas and a well-stocked pro shop which has a state of the art golf simulator.
We have a number of function rooms, and the largest 'The Condor Lounge 'is able to seat up to 120 people and overlooks the first tee and our courtyard. Ideal for all events we are also able to hold civil ceremonies for weddings. St Mellons is a traditional members club with no teetimes for members and provides a warm welcome to new members and visitors alike.

On arrival you should report to the Pro shop, or to the signed registration desk. If you cancel more than one week before the date of play you will receive a full refund. If you cancel less than one week in advance of your date of play you will receive a 50% refund. If you do not cancel your booking before the date of play you will not receive a refund.

From Newport follow the A48 towards Cardiff passing Wyevale Garden Centre (formerly Blooms) on your left, then at the next roundabout take the first turning left. Follow the dual carriage way for 500 yards, turn left at the Melrose Inn, then immediately left, 150 yards ahead you will see the entrance to the golf course on your right.

St Mellons welcomes visitors from Sunday to Friday throughout the year. The 18 hole parkland course takes advantage of the beautiful landscape, and has excellent halfway house and club house facilities, with a wide choice of menu. Eagle Bar which has a friendly atmosphere is situated above the bar, with a view of the putting area and first tee.
