He then went into Partnership with Frances James Churchill to create the firm of "Hewett & Churchill" and then later "Hewett & Pim" with Henry Ernest Pim. Mr Hewett died in 1939, but not before leaving a considerable amount of land to the local councils. You can still see his name popping up on a few road names and public parks in the Reading area.
Mr Pim continued the Practice during the War, ably assisted by two Senior Clerks, Mr Wyeth and Mr Neville. Following the end of the War in 1945, Mr Pim was joined (as the Practice expanded) by Michael Grey Dixon and the firm then became "Hewett Pim & Dixon".
