In 1931 Robson & Ellis was formed by David Ellis, David Ellis the younger and Albert Robson.
They set up a partnership as Joiners, Cabinet Makers and Funeral Directors as 12a Town Street, Bramley. David Ellis the younger and Mr Robson traded together until 1948 when Mr Ellis the elder returned from active service. At that stage Mr Robson left the partnership and emigrated to Australia. In 1957, James Ellis joined the business and after his father's death in 1964, Jim Ellis continued to run the business with his mother.

If a death has occurred in hospital contact us during waking hours at your earliest convenience. We will guide you through what needs to happen next to reflect your individual circumstances.

From the first phone call we will handle all funeral arrangements and provide the support, guidance and advice you will need. We are more than happy to provide a no obligation quotation. Religious and non-religious funeral services arranged including ceremonies taken by Civil and Humanist Celebrants.

We understand the stress of preparing for the funeral and the short space of time you have in which to put everything in place. Funerals often arise unexpectedly. So we strive to make this part of the arrangements as straight forward as possible. We create designs that include family photographs and personal memories.

Funeral costs consist of the funeral director fees and disbursement fees (which are on your behalf). The disbursement fees are common to all funeral directors and some prices vary between cities from but we note some typical costs below as a guide.
