Cosmetic Dentistry
Report
Cosmetic dentistry refers to any dental treatments that improves the appearance of a person's teeth, gums or bite. We use them all the time to straighten, lighten, reshape and repair teeth. Our most common cosmetic treatment is tooth whitening, which is also the least invasive way of achieving cosmetic improvement.
Crowns
Report
Sometimes known as 'caps' these are restorations that cover a tooth and restore it to its normal shape and size, strengthening the tooth. They can also improve the appearance of a tooth. Crowns are necessary when a tooth is broken down and fillings will not solve the problem.
If a tooth is cracked or is root-filled a crown may be necessary to hold the tooth together so that the crack does not spread or the root-filled tooth does not fracture vertically.Crowns are also used to attach bridges to teeth and also on implants. There are two main types of crown - white crowns made of all porcelain or porcelain bonded to metal, and metal crowns, most commonly gold.

Dentures
Report
Dentures are replacements for missing teeth that are removable from your mouth for cleaning. Impressions are taken in your mouth and dentures are custom made in a dental laboratory. The base of the upper denture usually covers your palate and the lower denture is horseshoe shaped to cover the lower ridge and allow space for your tongue.
Implants
Report
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root, usually made of titanium, that is surgically anchored into your jawbone to hold a replacement tooth, bridge or denture in place. The benefit of using implants is that they do not rely on neighbouring teeth for support and are permanent and stable. Implants are a good solution to tooth loss because they look good and feel like natural teeth.
