Our long serving, well qualified team respond to each child's individual learning and development needs, working closely with parents to ensure every child is able to progress in relation to their own unique abilities and needs. Our parents love that their second or third child is cared for by the same staff that looked after their first.
Our Nursery

We have three group rooms for children aged 3 months to 3 years old, each with a dedicated staff team. Our youngest babies spend their day in the air conditioned Conservatory, a lovely airy room filled with natural light.
They are cared for by their key person, who will be your main point of contact at nursery, they'll follow your babies home routine, complete their learning journey and most importantly, build a trusting relationship with you and your baby.Our team have created an environment with areas full of natural objects and resources for our babies to explore, promoting their natural curiosity.

Pre School

In the Pre School room, the children are encouraged to choose their own learning, careful observation and mindful interactions enable adults to identify the children's interests and lines of enquiry. Our team support the children as they play co-operatively, taking turns, sharing ideas and showing sensitivity to the needs and feelings of others, forming positive relationships with children and adults.
Outdoors at Knighton

We love to be outdoors at Knighton, spending time in our garden everyday whatever the weather!. Being outside means the children can experience all that nature has to offer - ever changing weather, wildlife and the insect world. It gives them the opportunity to explore and develop their skills on a large scale, in our spacious outdoor area.

We're incredibly proud to be the very first Curiosity Approach Accredited setting in Leicester and the UK! The Curiosity Approach is an inspirational approach to early childhood which takes inspiration from from Reggio, Steiner, Te Whariki and a sprinkle of Montessori, underpinned by the EYFS. It's a beautiful recipe of wonderful ingredients, carefully mixed together with experience, passion and a love of early childhood.
