Medina Joinery specialise in the manufacture of high performance timber roof lanterns UK wide. We also offer wooden windows and doors throughout the UK. We are a family run business based on Hayling Island in Hampshire. Our aim is to offer our clients a professional, modern solution to their joinery requirements.
Our collection of timber roof lanterns, windows and doors come in three distinct styles. Traditional, contemporary and historic - making them perfect for any home. We work with a full range of timbers, including hardwoods, softwoods, engineered timbers and Accoya. We combine this with a full spray finish facility where we can offer a high quality long lasting micro porous coating to enhance all of our exterior joinery products.

Windows
At Medina Joinery we supply a complete range of high performance timber windows. All our bespoke wooden windows can be supplied fully finished to include all ironmongery, weather seals and glazing. Medina Joinery can offer low profile double glazed units that will comply with the latest building regulations, but offer a slim profile in keeping with a traditional look.
Sliding Sash Windows
These are the most traditional of window designs. We can supply it as a traditional box sash with lead counterweights or the more modern solid frame with a sprung balance system. Casements can be fitted with double or single glazing and incorporate a Georgian glazing bar.
Each timber sash window is assembled by hand to ensure a quality unit, and fitted with Deventer Sliding Sash Flipper Seal to the casements removing the need for brush pile draught seal on the parting bead and staff beads which can stain and deteriorate over time, this will also improve acoustic and thermal performance.This was the uPVC window of its day and often made by the carpenters on site as a property was being built.

Flush Casement Windows
Flush casement windows have the openers closing into the frame for a traditional cottage style. These benefit from modern friction hinges and multi point locking within the frame design, along with weatherproof gaskets. We offer a range of ironmongery to enhance the traditional look, or for a more modern feel.
Storm Windows
Storm Windows are a traditional window design. They incorporate a rebated opener which lips over the face of the frame. We can supply either an Ovolo or 20° Splay detail to the frame and casement. Within the frame the openers are hung on modern friction stays, with multipoint locking, weatherproof gaskets, and can be fitted with double glazed units.
Timber Doors
All our timber doors are manufactured in our own workshop so we can supply any bespoke doors you require. We strongly recommend purchasing our wooden doors in Accoya but we will also supply them in other timbers if required. We would also suggest having them supplied fully finished. This includes being painted, stained or oiled and doubled glazed, complete with ironmongery and weather seals.
Timber French Doors
If fitted with sidelights it can allow the doors to open flat against the frame and give a real feeling of light and space. All our patio doors are manufactured in our own workshop and can be made to any design or dimension required to meet your specifications.
French doors are only supplied in either solid Oak with an oiled finish, or in Accoya and painted with a factory applied paint system; this ensures they remain stable and look good for a long time.In addition the doors are fitted with full weather seals and multipoint locks with high security anti snap cylinders.
