This beautiful Victorian building has been refurbished and renovated over the past decade to offer a contemporary accommodation, a great bar and amazing food now overseen by multi-award-winning chef Steven Doherty.

In 2006 Lancaster Brewery purchased the hotel in Barrow in Furness and renovations began. The Duke of Edinburgh is now returning to Barrow's premier town centre hotel offering 51 luxury en-suite rooms, a cask ale bar and subterranean restaurant, bar and function room.

Follow the road through Ulverston and continue until the roundabout, take the second exit. On the third set of traffic lights, you will see the Duke Of Edinburgh Hotel on the right, follow the left hand lane and turn left. Take your immediate right towards the station and right again into our own private resident's car park.

His bar & restaurant menu showcases some of the best seasonal Cumbrian cooking you'll find in the region - good food, presented beautifully, with great service, and at a reasonable price too. Andrew was born and raised in Barrow and is hugely passionate about offering quality dishes designed to satisfy, from comfort food to fine gastropub dining.
