I have worked in general practice ever since qualification from the Royal London. My primary role at Laurel Villa is to ensure the provision of quality dentistry for all our patients. I work closely with Karen, the practice manager, to run the surgery and I am the clinical lead for the dentists and therapist.
My main interest is restorative/reconstructive dentistry. I am also responsible for the facial treatments at Laurel Villa, which include anti-wrinkle and fillers. After graduating in 2014, Chris completed his foundation dental training in Merseyside and has been practicing in the area ever since. Chris enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in endodontics.

This appointment involves a thorough, structured examination of your oral health. The dentist will assess the condition of the teeth and gums as well as the surrounding tissues. Our emphasis is prevention; hence regular six monthly check-ups are encouraged. Digital x-rays are taken routinely at your first visit and when appropriate thereafter.

Tooth whitening is a very effective means of improving appearance. It can be done alone, or as part of a treatment plan that may include crowns or white fillings on the visible teeth. Under current EU guidelines, we currently provide custom made whitening trays with kits of 6% hydrogen peroxide. Shade improvements are normally achieved in 2-4 weeks with good technique and consistent use.

Laurel Villa has provided NHS dental care in the St Helens area for a number of years. The practice continues to believe in a quality service for all the family, and new patients are always welcome. This covers an examination, diagnosis (including X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if clinically needed, and preventative care such as the application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant if appropriate.

We are trained at Laurel Villa to offer both fixed and removable brace systems. The fixed system is called Cfast. It consists of clear brackets on the front surfaces connected by a tooth coloured nickel titanium wire. The removable system is called Invisalign Go and consists of a series of removable clear acrylic aligners.

They can be used to support single crowns, bridges and dentures, Implants are often considered to be the most permanent solution to replace missing teeth. There is no need to prepare adjacent teeth with drills and it has become possible to replace partial and even full dentures with a fixed solution.
