
Emily's Mixing Bowl was founded in 2015 after a lifelong love affair with baking and design. I take pride in the fact that all my cakes are handcrafted and made to your unique specifications using the best quality local ingredients. I trained at Central Saint Martins Art College in Graphic Design during which time I managed to integrate food into every project I did in one way or another.
Having discovered my passion for food, cooking and baking I came back to my hometown of Eastbourne and got a job working in a restaurant. Having always been a keen home cook I worked hard and gained a catering qualification. I worked my way up from commis to the pastry chef at the restaurant and spent many happy hours creating dessert menus and learning new techniques in the art of desserts.

For wedding cakes I am regularly taking orders for cakes 1 to 2 years in advance of the wedding. Please don't delay getting in touch as I can only take on a limited number of wedding cakes per week. For birthday/celebration cakes usually one month is enough notice but please make your enquiry as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Jo is an experienced florist who sources as many flowers as she can locally, she has a gorgeous whimsical style and is based in Eastbourne. Hannah is a mac trained make-up artist who uses only mac products and is above all one of the most friendly person you will meet! Perfect to help you relax and feel pampered on the morning of your wedding.

From the design of your cake to the baking and decorating everything is done by me personally. For this reason I give my full attention to usually one or sometimes two cakes per week and take pride in every stage. Prices reflect the personal service and premium finish of my work. My sharp edged fondant iced wedding cakes are the most luxurious option with endless possibilities for decoration.
